Default Performance Friction Carbon Metallic Pads anygood?

Is there any downside of using Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads. I just purchased the front pads part#0749-20 for $29.99(cheap) and two Duralast rotors @39.99 each at Autozone.

I know the Performance Friction carbon metallic pads where very popular a couple of years back. Is there a reason why they are never mention in this forum section. I have a set bolted on my wifes S/10 Extreme and the truck stops lots better now. $29.99!!!

I use them up front. They have good linear stopping power and last a long time with minimal dust. The problem is they don't make a street pad for the rear and the semi-metallics I have on the rear can't keep up. I might change the rear pad to Hawk HPS this summer. Depends on how the brake balance is once the summer GS-D3 tires go on.
