No Im not willing to raise the car, my buddys car has the QA1's on his ride and all four tires are tucked under the car and his car rides like a caddy, so I will probably go with what he did...I wont ride as los as him tho....

Like I said my car looks like sportlines drop maybe a 1/4" lower
Maybe he removed his bumpstops which is not recommended. But I guess all that matters is if people like their setups, then they don't have to change it, even if it is bad for the shocks. QA1's also are a drag shock and won't do very well dampening pretty much most if not all lowering springs for the camaro.

I'm one of the strange people that actually prefers the look of stock ride height. I'm going for performance though and not looks.

So why did you start this thread if you are going to ignore everyone that tried to help you out and you already have your mind made up?

Guy I compress springs with my pinky...

jk. No you will need spring compressors for the fronts. The springs in the rear just pop into place after you remove the shock and swaybar and drop the rear end down

Re-read Sam Strano's post and take his advice. Seriously. Didn't you test drive the car before you bought it?

Could you elaborate on compressing the coil springs with your hands?

I didn't need a spring compressor to put my strano springs on or take them off when I messed up on the install. Stock springs are a different story though.

Not much to elaborate...I can literally squeeze the coils together with my bare hands....its pretty easy....does this mean my springs are bad?? Maybe they were stock and heated???

You didn't need spring compressors to mess up an install? Did you mean to say that, or is that a typo?

I think I know what you are getting at though, and its a good point. You need spring compressors for removing front stock springs. Other springs depending on how big they are might not need them. The strano springs are slightly compressed though after seating them over the shock, and I wouldn't recommend removing them without the compressor. I only say this because my Strano springs won't allow free movement of the rubber perch mounts that you get when the springs aren't compressed.

If you can compress the springs with your hands, its not going to hold up car corner weight very well. Unless your a really strong person, lol. What kind of springs are these things? If that's true, then thats a huge problem. You probably need new springs asap.

Oh yeah I forgot about this, hence why you only write one thread

Go figure out why your springs are completely compressable by hand
