The springs just sit on perches on the axle. Drop both shocks, and support the rear end. The springs will fall right out...

this drops the rear by an inch or so? it would be good to see a side picture, in order to see the rear in relation to the front.

i have to replace my shocks all the way around soon, so i might try this mod. is there a similiar mod for the front end?
thanks
bill

Water hose as in RUBBER, garden hose.

About a half inch at the most

I don't recommend removing the upper/lower spring isolaters up front on any car. People do it though...

IMO, if you're going to go ahead and replace all the shocks, just get a set of Hotchkiss springs while your at it. Those will yeild a near perfect ride height in most peoples eyes, and still be able drive without issues. About an 1.25" drop...

use heater hose, not water hose. much stronger, stiffer, safer. with my susp. setup and exhaust, i put my isolaters back on. it gave me the extra .5-.75in. lift for more ground clearance. its already LOW with the koni/strano.....didnt need it anymore.
