Kind of hard to tell from the pics, but looks way better in person.

You lift the rear, let the axle drop, notice the tops of the springs are set into this big *** doughnut shaped rubber thang, get rid of that, as it's pretty thick, cut a length of water hose and wrap it around the spring coil, that gives padding to the spring without that extra rubber, so the rear end sits lower.

Okay, not necessarily "wrap" it around the coil, think of that cut piece of waterhose as a "sock" and put it on the first spring coil and there you go.

One MAJOR note on this mod that nobody mentioned....make sure you use RUBBER hose not vinyl as ALOT of hoses are made of vinyl!!!

couple of questions ..........

the thread mentions water hose ... water hose as in garden hose, or water hose as in heater hose??

this drops the rear by an inch or so? it would be good to see a side picture, in order to see the rear in relation to the front.

i have to replace my shocks all the way around soon, so i might try this mod. is there a similiar mod for the front end?

thanks

bill

I think most people use heater hose, but some use garden hose.

I got a 1/2" drop with the hose mod. I got 3/4" drop in the front, with the Koni SA's set on the lower perch. For me, it's just right. Not lowered by any means, but much better.

Did you just do the rear hose mod without touching the front, if so how does it look. I was thinking of just doing the rear hose mod to level the stance.

do you have to remove the spring or can it be done with the spring still in place?
