You lift the rear, let the axle drop, notice the tops of the springs are set into this big *** doughnut shaped rubber thang, get rid of that, as it's pretty thick, cut a length of water hose and wrap it around the spring coil, that gives padding to the spring without that extra rubber, so the rear end sits lower.

couple of questions ..........
the thread mentions water hose ... water hose as in garden hose, or water hose as in heater hose??
this drops the rear by an inch or so? it would be good to see a side picture, in order to see the rear in relation to the front.
i have to replace my shocks all the way around soon, so i might try this mod. is there a similiar mod for the front end?

I got a 1/2" drop with the hose mod. I got 3/4" drop in the front, with the Koni SA's set on the lower perch. For me, it's just right. Not lowered by any means, but much better.
