gangster lean
ok, so ive noticed that my car has a lean when i stand behind it. It leans towards the driver's side. What the hell is that about. A friend who is into mustangs say they do that too and to get a 1/4 inch spacer, but im wanting to know what the hell it it so i can actually FIX the problem. Dont know if i really want to lower the car though, so dont say that. New catted-y hangs kinda low so i dont think the y would take well to less clearance.

We just had this discussion on my local board. I think its just a relatively normal thing with these cars. Shocks wouldn't fix it because they don't have anything to do with ride height- springs do. One guy said he put new springs/shocks all the way around and it still leaned....

put a rubber (autozone spring rubberthinggy) one the lower side spring only or do the hose mode on one side only. New spring may not fix this condition. Also with soft rear spring any slight unlevel surface could exagerate the lean.

but seriously, my car had a serious lean, like 1 to 2 inches to the passenger side. i changed the shocks and springs, and its still there but not as bad(maybe .5 inchs) it turned out that the previous owner hit a curb and destroyed springs and shocks on the passenger side.

i know i'm not supposed to.... but i cut my stock springs with the the rear driver's side 2" shorter than the pass side to prevent the uneven height but the drivers still sat 1" taller than the pass side,
then i went and got a new stock spring for the pass side which is now 3-3 1/2" taller than the driver's side and it actually looks like my pass side went lower by 1/2" and the driver's side went up 1/2". i'm now hearing something that sounds like the pass side spring is loose when it actually should be more compressed since it is taller.
what i did notice is when the driver's side was 1" higher off the tire, both bumpstops were 1/2" from the axles.
i do have an adjustable panhard. but i think it may be whatever "\" bar that is higher than the panhard that actually controls the height difference. can someone shed some light on this?
