Default UMI T-mounted TA. Bolt making contact w/ DS

Is this happening to anyone else? Any suggestions? The top bolt on the pivoting part is sometimes making contact with my drive shaft. It sits maybe a 1/4" or less away from it. It is evident by the ring it is etching in to it. This is not fun. Thanks in advance for any help.

Is this an adjustable TA?? If so, is it the adjustment bolt that is hitting it?

turn the bolt around the other way so the head of the bolt is facing the drive shaft and the nut is facing the drivers side floor pan

Is it the bolt head that is hitting the d/s or the threaded end?

Its the threaded end. Even if I flip the bolt around, I wont be getting much clearance from it. I will try it though. Its cold and snowing so Ill have to wait a week.

I turned the bolt around on mine you'd be suprised. plus the crossmember is slotted so you can move it alittle a way if it's still to close for comfort

Hello,

hmmm, well lets see what is causing it.

One thing to look at is- The front mount of that torque arm has slots in it. You can loosen those bolts and "slide" the front mount over slightly. Does this sound possible? You want the torque arm to be as parallel with the drive shaft if possible as well.

Also yes as mentioned switch the bolt around too and get the head towards the drive shaft. If you can take a picture please send it me at sales@umiperformance.com and I will happy to look at it.

Hope that helps!

Sounds great. A picture says a million words. It should be a simple fix, just will take some tweaking.

Thanks!
