Yah yah I know... I'm a moron...

Sik, I did get an alignment but it pulls left now (doubt it but it could be because of the shim that was left out (driver's side)). But dam does the front go where I point it now. Also gonna put the rear shocks to full soft now. We'll see where that puts me.

I'm now running BFG KDW's on the rear now and Pirelli PZero Nero M+S on the front.

SON OF A B*TCH. I just realized I'm gonna have to compress the spring all over again to get that piece back on. I'm gonna shoot myself... I freakin swear... mother fugger.

Didn't have to compress the spring again lol it just sits on top. I put it back in and drove it with the rubber piece back in and I couldn't feel any difference in 20 miles of every type of driving I could imagine. Then I put the rears to full soft and wow. Rides so smooth now and the handling wasn't compromised at all from what I could tell. Still haven't powered out of any turns that hard but I like how comfortable the car is now just by softening up the rears. Now I just gotta get the alignment checked over again (pulls left after the alignment, didn't before lol) and I should be golden. Thanks, everyone

Ahh.... how did you do it without compressing the spring? That part sits under the nut that hold the shock mount to the shock, and taking the nut off w/o the spring compressed makes the spring a rocket.

Putting it "on top" means its just chilling there and not doing anything. Needs to be sandwiched between that nut and the shock mount, hence the name shock mount insert

That one was already in there. It's the one you see in the picture in one of the above posts. It rests on top and the hole is too wide to get the bolt on top of. All I had to do was pull the thing out and slip it on top. It just sits around, not under the bolt.

Sam, I know. Been there done that . The one that's sandwiched was already on the shock assembly. Just that little rubber piece was missing.

I hate to ask, but are you missing the spring isolator on the Koni purch?

All there is you need off the old stuff is the isolator at the bottom the mount up top, the pie shaped peice and the upper control arm piece. Put the isolator on the koni perch, put the spring on, put the washer on the rod, put the mount on and make sure the pie shaped piece is in it and then put the nut on top and then put the upper control arm assembly on top of that.

Lol no. Everything's back on as it should be. The only piece that was missing was that top rubber piece at the very top of the assyembly that rests on the very top, around the bolt (not the sandwiched one!) on the driver's side.

What does the "non sandwiched" rubber piece look like? I don't remember seeing a piece just sitting in there not attached to something when I did my suspension. Just curious..

He might be talking about the little rubber piece that goes up in the control arm piece. You can pull it out but it should stay attached.

That would make more sense, it just sounded like it was set with the strut, not the control arm.

That's the one we left out... like I said, back in now. It was hard to describe it.. "Pie-shaped" didn't seem to fit but I guess.

Did you get that alignment checked yet?
