Default Full Framed 4th Gen Fbody

I've pondered much on this subject.

Does anyone run a full frame on their car.

Has anyone tried running a setup like the NASCAR IROC cars?

In building an all out race car out of an Fbody, would basing your car around a solid frame, be worth the trouble.

Would the advantages of a full frame outweigh the work of conversion. (Realizing that you would have to do a body drop, and channel the unibody for the frame to maintain ground clearance)

Again, just wondering if anyone has any input.

I don't see that there would be much advantage to
the full frame, the platform is reasonably stiff. I
have had full frame cars and the frame itself is not;
I could lift one corner of the A-body frame several
inches and see the rest not move, with it resting on
four pedestals.

A good cage is more where it's at I believe. Space
frame as it were. Triangulation makes stiffness way
better than a couple of rails along the bottom will.

I agree. A well designed/built cage that ties into the suspension points of the car will make for a very stiff platform.
