Default Bad rack?

My steering wheel shakes back and forth at just about any mph over 30. Tie rods are good as are the wheels and tires. There is no play in the steering, but the only thing I can think is that the rack is bad. Anything else that could cause this problem?

Ive only put about 600 miles on the tires since they were last balanced, they are a matching set on good rims...this problem started long after they were balanced....guess I will take them somewhere else and have them balanced

Noticed that the car is also having a rough return to center. This happens at low speeds, so I doubt it has anything to do with the balancing...

check the steering fluid level, if it seems low, then fill it and keep an eye on it. Check under the vehicle for any obvious leaks... if it is going bad, metal flakes can get in the lines and ruin the pump.... if I'm not mistaken

Does it make any noise when the car is not moving(engine running) and you turn the steering wheel?

I'm seeing if there's more of a chatter or loud moan.

Steering is as quiet as its ever been....fluid level is correct, but I didn't check for metal in the fluid, will do that this weekend
