Vairation on hose mod?
Hi,
I am looking at doing the heater hose mod soon.
The sole purpose of the heater hose is to stop the metal to metal contact, right?
I wondered if using inner tube from a bike might work instead, as well as lowering it a little more?
I figure the inner tube is less than 1 mm thick, I could cut it lenght ways and double it up, and use cable ties to secure it.
Do you guys think it would work?
Does your hose show any signs of wear after a long period of time?
I am interested in your thoughts.
Paul.

People use the heater hose for a reason. I've seen thinner material ripped right through. Your drop with the thinner material will be marginal in comparison and not worth it.
