After driving Sams vehicle with the Strano springs installed I highly recommend them. They not only offer a good stance and good height they perform excellent and ride excellent.

Here is a listing of common spring rates, including DMS:

You will have to check with Sam to get the exact #'s but I am pretty sure they are 550 lb/in linear in the front 100-150 lb/in dual rate in the rear.

Yep, 550 linear front. Rears are 100-150, but the working rate is only 150. The 100 lb. rate is only the top three coils, and completely collapsed with the weight of the car sitting on them. I can almost compress them completely just by squeezing with my hands. You can't make a completely linear rate 150 lb spring the correct length for the ride height we want without the built in tender spring (which is what the 100 lb rate is), or the springs would come loose @ full droop.

And remember, my springs are about 13-15 pounds lighter than everyone else's springs except Vogtland's production springs (but my rates are way different). The VVS alloy is 35% lighter than Chrome-Silicone spring steel.

lol I love how this thread was supposed to be about DMS springs but it turned elsewhere..

A502slo you haven't mentioned what the purpose of you wanting to lower the car? What exactly did you have in mind?

Well, when someone asks about springs, it's helpful to know things like the spring rates (and the working rates). We really don't know this with the DMS. What we know is they look pretty good (admittedly), and the "starting and ending" rates, which tells you nothing about the rates @ ride height or under bigger compression.

I believe that's what Ryan was getting at when he mentioned my springs, but I may be incorrect about that.

A502slo wants handling, and he runs track events from time to time. We've spoken before, and again today.

Yes Sam, that is exactly why I brought your springs up. My company specializes in suspension so we have learned what works and what doesn't and I like to suggest what I have found that works.

With Strano springs you not only get a good ride height but also a good ride quality and the correct rates. Sam has proven this with multiple championships.
