Welding cad plated metal can be very unhealthy and possibly kill you. Just thought I'd mention that for anyone who was thinking of welding on a set of cad plated connectors....Be safe!!!

Give or take a few bucks i paid $250. for the KBDD and $250. for the install.I can tell the difference in the car though,it is much tighter now.Regardles of what you are telling me,i can feel the difference.

If nobody makes a good set of SFCs out there i would think there would be a good market for them, just like FRCs,now we can buy custom made for our cars.

P.S. Any subframe connectors will likely be a great improvement over stock (no connectors)....then we get in to different levels of "overkill" (not that any are truly overkill).

It goes back to what I said at first (see above). The KBB parts are much better than none at all. And you should see an increase in stiffness. I think there are better made parts out there, and I may not like them from a design stand point, but they are functional connectors. Just not my personal preference.

Happy corner carving!!!

Ok guys... what do you think? Out of the current SLP style SFC's on the market which set are the best constructed?

Hey sawedoff, I would definitely be interested in a quality titanium subframe connector setup!! I have noticed alot of junk being sold and you really don't know until your holding it that its pure garbage, people just taking advantage of others for a buck with no reguard for quality of product (design, materials, fabrication)

I looked real hard at 2 sets of connectors. I was going to buy the LG Motorsports kit with the cross braces. That looks like a good design (though I've not seen them in person). The others were SLP. I bought the SLP weld in and installed them at 2,500 miles and they have been great. The design is not perfect, but it is one of the better ones out there. If I were doing it again, I'd buy bolt in's and weld those in. They are powdercoated and should have a much more durable finish than the paint and then spray in bedliner and then under coating that I have used to keep mine from rusting. The dirt and grit and water just "blast" paint off of them....

sawedoff,
I'd also be interested. I've already installed some KBDD SFCs, but would remove them for a superior (stronger) and lighter design. PM us with your design ideas.

sawedoff... I'd be interested too... I don't have SFCs yet but have been seriously thinking about it. Do you have any idea of a ballpark figure for those?

I am going to be buying subframes very soon, especially after the 11 inch rim install on the back. I would be very interested in the titanium SFCs if they were comparable pricing to the higher end stuff on the market. Example SLP bolt ins $260. Please send me info and a time frame!!

Thank you

Bobby

I too would be interested in the titanium SFC's. I work in Irving off Loop 12. Let's link up sometime. I was going to buy the LGM SFC's as they are having the 15% off sale. However, you have my attention now. Shoot me some mail.
Matt.
