no it will not perform worse. it should get rid of wheel hop to. if it dosnt then try adding some relocation brackets, and a tourqe arm aswell.

i was thinking about a torque arm next. I do not have any wheel hop problems at the moment. I figured it just beef up my traction before i hit the strip.

so handling wise, itll be better than stock?

yes it will, because its not stamped steel. there stronger, and built to handle better then stock. i dont think they would be in buisness if it were otherwise.

That would only be true if the LCAs with conventional poly bushing on both ends offered articulation equal to the factory LCAs , which they don't.

IMO, the only LCRs with poly on both ends that offers good articiculation is the J&M LCAs w/3 piece polyball bushings.

Sorry, off topic again!

Get the Half poly half rod. They take little bit to break in and be sure you go back and grease them. Add just a tad of more harshness but not like 50% or anything.

I've got the Global West rod / rod lca's, and the improvement in handling is tremendous. They are noisey at low speeds, and they transmit a lot of road noise at all speeds. The ride, however, is just as smooth as before. I think I'm going to replace them with some UMI poly / rod lca's just to tame down the noise. Between the headers and the road noise I can't talk on the cell phone (hands free device, of course) in the car anymore because I can't hear. All of the noise has crept up on me, and now the car is actually quite noisey.

We will be offering suspension parts before the New Year and have been going over this same discussion.

For the most part, I'm the type of person who just wants to get the most performance out of the car as long as it isn't a ridiculous hamper to daily drive ability.

After going through everything with my fabricator (he owned his own racing division and now drives and sponsors in different one, I don't know all the details, that stuff is Greek to me) we decided rod/rod on everything (LCA's, Panhard Rod, etc...) was the way to go.

When it comes to the articulation it allows, IMO, it far makes up for any added noise (which as long as you keep it maintained you shouldn't have)

I have the Madman rod/rod ones, they're a little clunky at low speed and make a little bit of noise but nothing unbearable (I'm sure if I had headers I wouldn't even hear it). I couldn't be happier with them.

This is a perfect example...

It's been in my experience that if the people that are well informed before making the purchase or fully realize the benefits of the rod ends are the ones that are happy with the purchase.

We offer several different versions all of which are tailored for differrent needs. A link to them can be found here-

I have rod/rod and like them alot, but they do make a good amount of noise. If you don't like noise then get poly/rod.

I have complete rod/rod connection in the back of my car and I can hear them plain as day over my true dual exhaust. They are silent on nice roads but they let you know when you are driving on a rough road.

I still wouldn't trade them for a lesser connection though.

Rod/rod makes a nice car sound like a total piece of crap. I switched from poly/poly to rod/rod to poly/rod. The poly/poly was silent but they weren't adjustable so I made the move to rod/rod. After a little while of that I tried poly/rod and it's better than rod/rod, but still much louder than poly/poly.

Getting the ones that your car needs may mean sacrificing some piece and quiet.
