Default 1979 12 Bolt on 1996 Camaro

What all needs to be done to make this 12 bolt work on my car? I know I prob have to remove some things and make brackets for LCA's etc and make the torque arm work, anyone done this and what was done, and do you have pictures? thanks

I'm not sure personally. But I guess you'd have to consider making sure the PHB, control arms, torque arm, and sway bar brackets will all work along with it.

Also, the rear end will be heavier than the 10 bolt, so if you wanted to balance the suspension out you'd probably want to stiffen the rear shocks. Sam Strano mentioned the use of DA konis instead of SA konis in the past for this case so you can up the compression setting. I'm sure a lot of people won't care though because it "works" with any shock

okay. thanks

also, as far as brackets, I could weld the ones off the 10 bolt i believe, are the rears the same width or is the 12 bolt wider? and as far as sway bar, as pictured you can use exhaust clamps.

does someone sell conversion parts? and what about torque arm mounting?

Sounds like you happen to have an old 12-bolt laying around and are trying to save a buck, but I just can't imagine that you would come out ahead in the long run vs just picking up something like a Strange 12-bolt that'll pretty much drop right in...
