Default Warped rotors cause a woh woh woh sound while going down the road?

So when I am driving down the road there is woh woh woh sound that you can hear coming from what sounds like the right rear tire area and the sound is related to speed so the faster the car goes the faster the sound is. I jacked up the rear end and put it in drive and let the wheels go by themselves and everytime the wheel comes around to a certain area you can hear a rubbing sound that I can only assume is the warped rotor hitting the brake pads as it comes around to that warped spot on the rotor. Do you guys think this is creating my woh woh woh sound that I hear while going down the road.

Well I am actually replacing the rear end next week with one from a 6 speed car (3.42) so I will find out if its the rear end or not. I think it might be tire noise as well but my friend who has had been F bodies thinks its the brakes. I guess I could move tires around and find out that way.

1) Install new rotors and pads on since they are obviously warped.
2) If you still hear the noise, its most likey the tires are cupped.
3) Get the video camera and do lots of smokey burn-outs....
4) then replace the tires!

Tires are much more likely. Rotors, typically they only make noise when the brakes are applied. My bet is tires - check them, especially the inside edge of the fronts.

my bet is on cupped tires. had the same issue on my DD. need to get it aligned also if that is the problem. should be able to look at the tire and see the cupping if it is that loud.

Mine went bad and the noise would drive you crazy. But if the noise is comming from the rear and you drive a M6 put it in neutral If the noise stops it is your rearend, if the noise is still there and slows in sound as the car slows it is your bearings. A big pain in the *** to fix. You have to replace them on the axle and if you let it go to long with out being fixed you will have to replace the axles as well I know from experience.
Bad bearings make the noise you are talking about and it is loud.

Ok, and here is the verdict. It was a combo of the bearings and axle.

I put my new rear from a M6 car in my A4 car and pulled the axles on the stock rear. The right side bearing was bad and it had actually started eating through the axle so where the bearing spins on the axle the axle is all chewed up there. Its a good thing I had the axles from the M6 rear or I would have been in bad shape. I threw the M6 rear in with the M6 alxes and all is good now. No more noise, nice quiet ride now. Loving the 3.42 gears also, can't wait to get my converter now. Thanks for all your inputs guys.
