You did put the spring isolators on the strano springs so it isn't metal to metal contact didn't you?

How do they look? We used everything that came in the boxes

They should have been on the stock springs. They may have stuck up there and not come out though so you may never have seen them. You can check for them on the top of the rear springs. you might be able to see them from under the car but im not sure and its too cold to go check.

If you did see a rubber isolator on the top of the stock springs and you didn't put them on the stranos then that might be your issue.

Check the panhard rod. Mine would come loose all the time. Loctite didn't work I would just have to tighten it every once in a while. I'm going to weld the thing when I get home.

Sounds like the problem. Check that out first. I think you would have known if you took these off the stock springs and transferred them to the Strano springs though.

Yes the big black rubber piece that was on the top of the factory spring is the rubber isolator.

Your going to notice a little more noise when you start useing rod ends. Did you put the rod ended side of the PHB on the chassis mount? That would make a bit more noise than if you put the poly side on the chassis mount.

Check the PHB jam nuts and mounting bolts (and it's best to loctite those mounting bolts). A dual rod-end PHB can make a little bit of noise, but not a LOT unless it's loose or uses cheap loose rod-ends which UMI doesn't.

Springs don't make noise... Bear in mind that the car is firmer now, and you might be getting some rattles because the suspension is less squishy, but I think you have a loose nut or bolt. Possibly a clunky rod-end, and if we narrow it down to that, let me know via phone.

I think Sam has it nailed. I bet you have a loose nut somewhere, if they are loose it causes a popping sound when you hit bumps and go on turns. Also, make sure that the adjustment nuts on the PHR are tight too, not just the ends.

Sure, because no two cars are exactly the same.... Tires are different, wheels sizes, isolator heights, weight in the car, weight of the car.....

i'm putting these together now for my camaro.

i have read people on this thread mention the rubber isolator that goes on top of the shock mount, BUT i haven't seen anyone mention the rubber isolator that goes on the bottom between the lower spring perch and the spring itself. if you forgot this piece, it would also give the car a slightly lower stance.

just a thought.

As long as you are sure you got all of the rubber pieces in the right places where the rear shocks mount to the body, you've covered everything with the shocks/springs.

I had a loose PHB once that cause a ton of clanking, but tightening it fixed that problem. I'm sensitive enough, though, that I can notice the difference between a rod-ended PHB and a poly/poly one. I've never had what I would consider zero noise from rod-ended components, no matter what they were.

Ok now for an update. I took the car out for a cruise today and it rides great and hugs the hell out of curves that I before could not handle. Friday I will be taking it over to my buddies house to get the kinks worked out. Could have did it today but driveway was a little wet from rain and besides he has a lift.

I dont think your cars sits too low in the rear. It still has a slight rake and I think it looks 10+! Makes me want those springs.

Whats under the tarp back there? An Olds?
