Find out what brand Summit is buying and relabeling...chances are, they aren't winding their own springs. If they won't release that information, I wouldn't chance it...you'll need to know spring rates at the very least.

As for the best shock? If you look at the red bar at the top of your screen, you'll find that there is a "Search" function, and it works very well. I suggest you use it and start reading. This question comes up about 10 times a day, and yours is no different.

very true...the "best shock" for the most part is going to depend on someones taste and/or performance needs.....and you will notice that if and when you search it

I saw them in the catalog and if you read the description it is the same exact desciption and advertised drop and everything as the Eibach Pro-Kit.

The reason i asked was my front end is making these popping sounds when i turn sharply. I was thinking ball joints, if so i was going to change bushings and go ahead and lower the car while i had it all apart.

Then get strano springs or something. They look the best IMO and are very high quality.

I got my Strano package on last Friday and LOVE it. Looks great and drives better. The only way to go.

That's because they are Pro-kits. Someone got the rates, and I spoke with a few folks who got them (and at least one then bought mine to replace them as they folks I talked to reported similar issues to real Pro-kits, mostly that they are too damned low). I suspect they are Eibach blems, hence the price.

thanks sam, ive been looking at your springs as well. but im not sure if they would drop my car as much as i would like.

im not looking to slam it to the ground, but my stock fender height is 3.5" above my tires, while other people i know with similar sized wheels and tires are at about 2.75" above their tires.

did different year camaros come with different rate springs or something? mine is an 01 with 100k on the clock, and my buddy has a 98 with 60k and his is significantly lower then mine. it seems like mine with the higher miles would be lower (or so i would think)

You can't compare cars quite that way. The tire height effects them, there were a lot of differnt springs that came on the cars from GM in terms of length. I really advise folks to not nit-pick a 1/4" here or there. While everyone wants an exact look, you have to ask what you might be giving up to attain a particular look.

My springs are not the height they are because of looks. The fact many like them is a bonus. They are what they are because I found that to be the best combination of a lower Cg and good suspension compliance. Everything about my springs came from what I use and do on my own car.

There was some kid on CamaroZ28 that bought these for his 98+ fbody and they sucked and gave out shortly after he bought them.
