Default 1" drop wanted, Which Springs?

I've seen cars on the forum that have 1" drop springs and the cars look great. Others have the same brand of spring, but they are level or according to the owner, were 1" drop springs when they were new but the settled.

I'm looking to lower my 98 SS with 1" springs and am having a hard time selecting the type I need to keep the stance that I want, which is lower in the front than the rear. I like the F-Body lowered, but not slammed nor level.

Can anyone help me out by posting a reply, with instructions and possibly pics to prove what you've done?

Thanks

I selected Hotchkiss because of the mild and progressive spring rates.

The shots below include "after lowering" pics.

I've got a set of Hotchkiss lowering springs that I pulled off my car for sale. They lowered the car roughly 1-1.25" all the way around and gave the car a great stance. They were on the car for about 7,000 miles so they have done all the settling they're going to. I'll see if I can't find some pics of my formula with the springs installed.

here's some pictures that i pulled out. The ones in the grass make the car look real low because the grass is so tall.

I just swapped out my mac lowering springs 1.5 drop for the bmr springs 1 inch drop. I really like the bmr springs they ride great and the car has a great stance to it. The macs were a little rough, the car looked good but rode harsh.

BMR

Exactly 1" and still rides nice but handles better than factory springs.

Cost = $200.

The SLP Eibachs dropped my car about 1 inch in the rear. While some will say this isn't enough to move the rear off center, for my car it was. That was easy to fix with the BMR adjustable panhard. If you want the rear centered exactly, might need an adjustable panhard, then again maybe not. I've not done the front springs yet so I don't know exactly but I think it will be about 1 inch.

anyone know the spring rates of the SLP Eibach's?
I know the BMR's are 310-550 lbs/in up front and 145-170 lbs/in in the rear.

*Edited because I no longer have springs for sale and keep getting tons of emails about them.

Did you guys use LCA relocation brackets after dropping the car? Did you keep stock shocks/struts? Anything negative to say about using Hotchkiss springs with stock shocks? I am trying to decide what to do.

thanks,
Chris

Used the BMR bolt on LCA Relo brackets, a fairly easy install and very good results. Kept stock shocks.
