I want to lower my 2001 Trans AM WS6. I'm thinking of getting the Eibach Sportline springs 1.6 in. front and 1.4 in. rear lowering. What do you guys think of this? Will I need anything else or will I be fine with the stock shocks and any other suspension parts? My car is bone stock by the way.

Don't get them. Usualy over 2" drop and does NOT have the spring rate to compensate for the drop. The ride is horrible... If its just a show car fine, but if your going to DD it look elsewhere. Strano, BMR, G2 supersprings and many others are alot better. If your going to lower it, do it right the first time and get some good shocks too.

he's right... i have the pro-kit on stock shocks and the car handles absolutely horrible! it looks good, but if you want to lower the car you need shocks as well for it to ride good...

Suggest? The SEARCH function of course ![The Jester](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_jest.gif)
Granted, you could be the first person to ever lower their F-body, but I'm not willing to bet the farm on it. And I'd also be willing to bet that IF someone else has lowered their car, they may have posted pics and opinions on this very board in THIS very section...

There's a ton of info in here on recommended shocks. Just gotta search.

I have Sportlines with Bilstien shocks and the ride is fine. As long as you get good shocks they will work.
I'm going to LG coilovers though, so they will be for sale in the spring.

I've had the Pro-kit and been in an f-body with Mac springs - and of course stock setup. It does handle better than stock - but i think that's mostly due to the better shocks. The bilsteins are much better than the stock Decarbons. My car does not bounce, but my sportlines also only sit about 1.5-1.75" lower than stock - not the 2" some do.

With so many suggestions, I'm quite confused.
I guess until you try yourself you can't know... I like the look the sportlines give the car and there's no gap between the tire and fender
What shocks would work well with the sportlines to make the ride quality good? The car's my daily driver.

Have sport lines with KYB's on the car. Love the look, hate the ride. It's not enjoyable going anywhere in the car anymore. Anytime I know a bump is coming up I just wince and hold on b/c I know it's going to hurt. My y-pipe is destroyed and so is the front lip. Like I said, LOVE the look but hate the ride.
