Default Question about putting on new studs!

Hey guys, on our fbodys do we have to remove the axel to replace the rear studs? I would like to get this done and I'm trying to figure out how much work it's going to be. Thanks

No, you don't haft to remove the axles to install the studs and make shore, when you tighten them up that they are straight and pulled all the way up

I had this done a year ago. Supposedly a lot of people just use a sledge and then pull the studs through with an impact wrench. I heard that way could hurt the integrity of the threads, so I had my local shop press them in for me.

I've heard of a way to get studs out and pull them through without removing the axles. If you remove some of the brake components, there is a hole behind axle where you can access the stud and push it through. I'm not sure how many people do it that way.

When I did mine I just used an extra lugnut, a few washers and an impact wrench to pull them through.
