The part that wants to rub is the side of the fenders, not the top. So lowering the car isn't a huge issue. If anything I would say it helps prevent the car from rolling which is what assists the contact with the sides of the fenders.

When you choose springs, I would do some research and figure out how you want your car to ride, what you want to do with it, how badly you care about ride quality, what springrate you want, the ride height, how consistent the springs are with their advertised ride height, etc. Search for this topic and read a lot of Sam Strano's posts. His insight on this subject is profound and reading his posts help you think for yourself and decide what you want.

Another thing I would imagine is that a car on stock springs since it will most likely go through its whole suspension travel to the bumpstops at times or often, a lowered car will be doing the same thing. Aka, no matter how low your car is, it will most likely go through the same range of motion with the tires.

That is what I was planning on doing. I was just worried about the apperance looking like a drag car, plus the motor has to sit at a certian degree of tilt. Since others have done that I guess it has not been that big of an issue. Did you happen to know how far your springs droped the front. I have 2 inch spring. would that be fine?

You will probably have to go back and hammer the fenders at least a 2nd time to adjust. I had to hammer a second time. My fenders are actually still rubbing just slightly on the right after a fender roll.

Camaro have a harder time fitting them, than the T/A guys, but anything much more than a inch drop and you are going to have serious problems, first hand experience.

Explain where you're getting your info from. If you do the appropriate minor fender modifications, an inch+ drop seems like no issue to me.

Also note that 315s are different widths depending on the type of tire you get.

I have the 315x17x35 Verdestein tires x 4.

They seem to have more rounded shoulders than many other tires like the BFG and GY. This minimizes rubbing and banging issues.

RsSean, I have the same wheels as you. I have Strano springs out back. A 2" drop in the rear will cause problems with 315's. My tire is about 1/2" from my fender and they are rolled. You have to beat the hell out of the inner wells. Roller your fenders and take that 1/4" spacer. It's easier to beat the wheel wells then to try to make your tire not rub the inner lip. The adjustable PHB helps ALOT. If adjusted correctly there should be about 1/2" space between the tires and the inner well. If you want more help PM me and Ill give you my number.

Where do you find/purchase the Strano springs. Does anyone want to get rid of theres. Does the lowering with those springs compromise the ride quality? Does the tires still hit the well under a pot hole/ big bump?

Are most of you running the 1.2 spring? Or is it one of the handling kits
