Default KYB AGX Guys, question about stiffness.

What stiffness do you guys leave your shocks on for daily driving? I had a Prelude with Tein Super Streets and I usually just left them on the highest stiffness because I didn't mind it. Do any of you drive around in your F-Body like that?

Also, what do you set them to when running at the track?

I drive with mine @ 6 in front and 4 out back.
At the strip 2 front 5 in back.
Auto-X or going around the twisties full stiff front and 6 in back.
Hope that helps.

I really don't mind the harsh ride and hardly ever have time to adjust so I have mine set on 7.

how are these shocks with strano springs? I know koni's are better but i want springs and shocks and i can't spend that kind of money. Do the KYB's perform well on those shocks?

The KYB's are shocks and...

Save your money for Koni's or get re-valved Bilsteins (Strano).

yeah those bilstiens will be in next week...

Since you can adjust the KYB AGX it is all up to you. Hope you have stock springs cause that is all I can vouch for.
I love these KYB's. I have mine set on 5 and the turning is sharp. I can't wait to test out the other settings.

yea i got the AGXs, when i first put them in i had them on 7, and i went into a pretty choppy turn that i have to take everyday to work, and the rear almost hopped into the guard rail, so the next day i had to slow down alot to make the turn safely. so i turned the rears down to 3 and now i can rip through the turn no problem. so keep in mind what kinda streets u drive on. my 2 cents

So i got mine in and tried a few things:

5/5 rear was too stiff
6/4 front bounced too much over crappy roads
5/4 and that has worked out really well for DD, and a lil jont through a mountain pass.

I can't wait to drop the F sway and try 1/6 for launches.

Stock springs btw. Ditched the pro-kit to go with the stranos later on.

is it good to have the rear a bit higher for hard launches?
