Default stock shock replacement question

with 78,000 miles on the clock, it's time for some new shocks. What would you recommend for stock shock replacements on a dailer driver (occasional drag) 02 Trans Am? Kind of budget, but lasting parts?

aw sorry I didn't notice that... I'm pretty much in the same boat though so I've been piecing together pieces. Found a pair of used rear koni's single adjustable on this site fairly cheap, 250 I think. Still have to get fronts though lol. yeah Bilsteins are good shocks from what i hear though for the price

kinda a newb sub-question but.... is it in my best interests to do all of them at once, or alright to do just the rear then maybe the fronts later on (with matching parts of course) cause sometimes i get a noise that seems to be coming from the right rear shock mount area only when i first back outta my driveway.

I don't have any experience with the Koni but I have been very happy with the Bilstein HDs. It is somehow both firmer and smoother than stock.

You get what you pay for as always, save up and do it once. Koni's are adjustable and the bilsteins aren't so either you like them or not where you can adjsut the koni's for the street and the track.

I definately agree with "you get what you pay for". Only other question would be are there any other suggested options for adjustable ones? and can I install only rear, then later fronts?

I bought Bilsteins a few years ago and are great shocks. No issues at all and my track times improved.
