hi, i got this unit from one of the boards. i just got it and i think it's missing the helm joint that attaches the TA to the tranny. am i correct?
also, does this TA bend? i mean look at the pics and you can see that it isn't flat.

Yes, if that is all you got, it's missing the tranny mount.

It appears to have been "altered" to work on a 12 bolt. The elongated hole on the tail mount leads me to believe that.

Mine is definitly not flat, but I don't recall that kind of arc in mine. It has a definite "bend" at the tail end to move the bulk of the arm over to and parallel with the driveshaft.

If I recall, you live in the DFW area, right?

Take by LGs and ask about it ...

thanx much for the info mitch. unfortunately, i live in NJ. i see the elongated hole, but it looks a little too elongated; the hole is almost off the plate. i think i should get that welded slightly.
and i need that tranny mount; i hope my seller still has it. thanx again for the info.
