Default Torque arm for S60...

Before anyone jumps on me, I did do a search beforehand.

Anyways, just wondering what torque arm you S60 guys are running. I'm looking at Spohn or UMI but I'd prefer to go with whichever one will fit without notching the torque arm if that's at all possible. I also like that I can get the spherical rod end with the Spohn piece, but can't seem to find the option for the UMI one. If neither fits without some sort of notching/grinding/et cetera, then it'll just be a issue of whichever one I can get for cheaper. Thanks guys!

Where are you wanting the rod end to be? I have a UMI adjustable torque arm and where the actual arm bolts to the mounting plates has rod ends on it. Here is a link to thier site for some pics. http://www.umiperformance.com/2205?category_id=130

We can precut any of our torque arm brackets to fit on the Strange S60 no problem. I do not understand the whole rod end thing at the front of the torque arm?

On the Spohn website there is a drop-down menu that lets you select a spherical rod end for the front of the torque arm.

I think you killed your thread with the comment about " which ever one is cheaper"

Now if you want the best quality and fitment the best thing is to order a BMR and be done with it. Lee already answered some of your questions and will fix you up.

Yes it will. We ask for the rear end on our site for our preference only.

If you have any additional questions please ask.

Thank you!

i'm using S&W's adjustable torque arm and no problems with it fitting on to the rear. I don't think it's very expensive if i recall, but it was more or less designed around their sfc's cause they have a crossbrace that the TA mounts to.

Just wanted to come back and clarify my statement...

Our torque arm is a direct bolt using the factory outer most holes in our torque am bracket. To be able to use the inner most holes and bring the torque arm in as tight as possible for tunnel clearance you will need to make a cut to the top plate on our torque arm bracket. Our torque arm bracket is a little more substantial in this area then most hence the need for the modifications. Sorry about any confusion this might of caused....

Are you supposed to use the first two mounting holes or the second? I used the first but then the torque arm hit the tunnel, so I tried the second set of holes and it was hitting something on the axle. I took a sawzall and took a chunk off the mount for it to fit. Wasn't hard and from what I read I figured I'd have to do it. Still a nice torque arm.

Justin,

You can use either on the S60. As you have seen using the first set may fit the tunnel depending on ride height ect. The second set of holes are designed for this reason and cutting the bracket like you did is correct to use them.

Hope that helps!
