Default Non adjustable STB worthless?

So the other day I heard someone say that non adjustable Strut tower braces do absolutely nothing for a car. When I put mine on I noticed a difference. What's your take on this? I call BS, but this guy seemed pretty adamant.

STBs in general for our cars have an arguable impact on anything since we don't have struts...

I heard it makes no difference to the handling of the car but does so to the appearance of the car. Some say they felt a small difference and others that felt a huge difference. I don't know what to make of it. I'm holding out on one and saving that dinero.

Farzinni what the hell is up man.. MY non adjustable STB did make a difference. I have seen the adjustable ones yet I dont understand why anyone would need one. Whoever said they dont make a difference is a weiner.

I felt a difference in cornering.

I would imagine, that if your car's engine bay has "sagged" a little due to time and spirited driving, and you were able to measure this change on an accurate frame machine, an adjustable STB could bring the car back to spec. It might put a strong load on the upper strut mounting bolts while doing this, however...

As a vert owner, I need all the extra stiffness I can get. Adjustable seems only necessary in certain instances. Non-adjustable works fine on a stock application. Everyone is an expert. Let the A**hole have his opinion. STB-dumdumdum

Unless your chassis is falling apart, you won't notice a thing. The STB doesn't do anything especially in the handling department.

Although I'm going to guess that you just experienced a placebo effect. Some people are too afraid to admit they bought a part and found out it did nothing.

Hmm, when mine was done, it was added with sway bars, that must have been the huge difference I felt. Either way, interesting to know. I still can't imagine it being a bad thing, and I'd definitely venture to say it makes a difference for Vert drivers.

I wouldn't say it was a bad thing either. Not saying that these cars' chassis don't eventually loosen, but if all is well the STB should have no effect on the feel of the car. At least it would make for pretty good insurance.

I've heard that on the 3rd gen it makes a huge difference.

I can't even imagine why a car would need an adjustable strut tower brace, unles the chassis has been tweeked in a accident . . . . the strut towers, IMHO, shouldn't be adjustable . . .
