Question Any brake upgrades with a 15 inch wheel?

So I'm thinking of going 15s but LT1 stock brakes are real shitty. Is there any way to improve brake performance with a 15 inch wheel? I know bigger rotors are out of the question.

anybody know of any companies that make after market stock size rotors and calipers? maybe I can go with a rotor of the same size but slotted and a same size caliper with more pistons.

so i should feel a significant difference from just upgrading the rotors and doing some teflon braided lines?

If you want the brakes to have more stopping friction, then rotors and lines aren't going to help. Pads provide the friction. You need a good pad compound like Hawk HPS which is a great street/performance pad.

I would also recommend blank rotors for such a small set of brakes over drilled or slotted. More so on the smaller brakes compared to a bigger set.

Since you're using 15" wheels, im assuming some kind of drag wheel, and you want good stopping power you don't have much choice. I say upgrade to some really nice hawk pads...hp+ if you don't mind the brake dust (its bad) http://www.stranoparts.com/partdetai...ID=5&ModelID=2

Replacing your stock rotors with drilled/slotted is not going to do anything for stopping power. I'd get some new ones though, under hard braking i'm sure the cheap autozone 30 dollar replacements will tend to warmp more.

For rotors, stock LT1 size, its hard to find premium replacements that aren't drilled/slotted. I'd probably end up going with these (even though they are slotted) http://www.byunspeed.com/product_inf...e7d6458770c3ff if i had to keep stock LT1 brakes. Brakes lines and fluid, if you wanted braided i'd go with these http://www.stranoparts.com/partdetai...ID=5&ModelID=2 (make sure you get the right set, one is for traction control) and some ATE blue for fluid. Hope this helps, and this is all my opinion.
