Default Car is "wavy" and "bouncy" on the highway.

I installed new Koni's a few months ago and all was well. However, I'm noticing when I've driving on the highway that car tends to be wavey. When I hit rough patches on the road, the car will dive in a certain direction and I have to fight to keep it in a straight line.

Any ideas what it could possibly be?

My only mods are Koni yellows, everything else is stock and my car just turned $80,000 on the meter.

Hope you figure it out. Kind of what mine is doing. I only changed front springs so ordered rears and will put those on to see what I get before ordering shocks. What do you have for springs?

Drew, if you wind up needing springs give me a call. I have a 1" lowering spring for your car for $229.95 for all four plus shipping. We have the springs in stock and can ship same day. Front springs are #550 the rears #170.

what are the front shocks set to? if they are too stiff it will follow the road like a train on a track, if they are too loose it will bounce over ever flaw and bump in the road.

Also tire treadwear could be a factor. if your treadwear is at the limits it tends to catch a LOT of **** and it tends to follow grooves while driving.

Could also be bad ball joints and/or bad tie rod ends. Or maybe the hubs have crapped out. What kind of trouble shooting/investigation have you done so far on the car? Have you checked for play in the hubs, ball joints, tire rod ends yet?

Might be the tires. Keep in mind that a wider 275 tire will follow grooves in the road more than a 245/50/R16 stock size tire.

I agree with this.

The only other things I could suggest are...

alignment and/or maybe worn lower front control arm bushings (especially the caster bushing).

Unless they're not installed properly and/or they're defective, the springs ARE NOT causing the problem.

Same here, but mine only has 30k on it. It feels like ****. I have 275's, but this feels more like somethings loose.

Did you lower the car? If you did, did you get an alignment? Lowering will add camber and toe out which both will cause that to happen

EDIT I just realized I responded to an old post..
