I had an entire post wanting to know if anyone had actual stopping data before and after which got me about 4 replies, none of which with data.

Looks great and I am sure it stops better. I absolutely need to do something to mine. Could you PM the sites you got your parts from?

What size rotors are stock on an 02TA? Same as the LT1 12"?

Yep I remember. Your car is really clean, I'm surprised it still had stock brakes on it til now. Wasn't too many LT1 cars that day.

I think I just have big brake envy, so far my car has stopped every time reliably with a LS1 spindle/caliper swap, brembo blanks and HPS pads. Probably if I had 18's and had that space to fill I wouldn't feel the same though.

thats because of the new brake fluid

i hope by this statement, you mean that the outer edge of the spokes (where they meet the barrel of the wheel) are inset more, and you're not referring to the overall offset

anyway, it looks great, and i'm sure it stops even better.....

im not so sure about using LS1 stainless lines with the upgrade. i did it with mine, 02 TA to C5 brakes, and the LS1 lines were just a bit too short. maybe the LT1 cars are different, or maybe the Z51 calipers are a little different. but i had to get C5 lines when i did my swap. have you checked the lines, from full lock to full lock?

LOL, not likely as I like to flush the brake fluid every so often...

Yes I have and the Wilwood lines for the LS1 that I used are fine.

You wouldn't be able to tell the difference in braking just by feeling it?

looks damm good, i had a plan to fit the brembo evo calipers and pair em with the Z51 rotors but those rotors seem pretty big under ur 18's i can only imagine them under my 17's, i guess ill have to shoot for a little smaller or maybe even the 13". to those that dont believe in SS brake lines, i think mine helped a bit in the feel of the brakes when you come to the stop, it doesent throw me on the dash when i slam on the brakes hard
