that looks killer! If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the parts and how much did it cost you?

Thanks guys...

I got the calipers through a friend, but other than that -

These were purchased through non-supporting sponsors so PM me if you want more info.

Caliper brackets - $90
Rotors - ~$230
Pads - ~ $80
LS1 stainless steel brake lines - ~$60
4 caliper mounting bolts, 8 bracket mounting bolts -~$25

The hardest part of the install for me was grinding down the caliper to clear the wheels. A 18" Z06 rim should clear without a problem, but since the lips are so big on my wheels, the 5 star is pushed further in.

Looks great! I wish the brackets for the z51's were around when I did my c5 conversion.
Any plans for the rear?

No plans for the rear. The single piston PBR's seem to do just fine.

The brackets are actually the same for the C5 and C6. The difference comes in with the caliper. The Z51 abutment plates are needed to clear the bigger rotor.

Can you PM the info? I have some buddies that would be interested, that is an excellent price.

P.S. The car looks GREAT

Nice. How much larger is the rotor compared to a stock LS1 setup? Sucks I have 17's anyway, they probably don't fit.

Let me ask you this: Did you do any braking tests before and after? If you did what type of improvements did the upgrade provide?

Hey Corey - we met at the Daytona gathering last year...

The Z51 rotors are 13.6" and you'll definitely need 18" rims to clear.

No, I didn't take any measurements but I can tell you it's a whole hell of a lot better. Not only does it stop better, the pedal feels so much better. It's a lot less sloppy.

How do you know it stops better if you didn't take any measurements?

Because I'm a complete ******* moron.

Hmmm, let's think about this - two piston caliper vs. single piston

13.5" rotor vs. 12" rotor

rubber brake lines vs. stainless steel

Calm down Sir. I am asking honest questions here. Don't be offended by my questions. I was just asking for objective information but I got subjective information. Sorry if I made you upset.
