What kind of work does it need besides paint?

The main problem for me was it wasnt shifting into 4th so I stopped driving it and took it to a shop. First they told me it was the transmission but its fresh so thats not it. Then they said it might be the connector.

Connector like electric connector going to the electric O/D?

I would think thats the one. Thats got to be the only thing thats holding it up. I shudder to think what it is if thats not the problem. It could be anything from inside the trans to the ECM itself.
