Default For Sale: '71 Pontiac 455 motor

For Sale:

Car is sold - spare motor still available.

I have a spare 1971 455 for sale, with an old turbo 400 bolted to it. This spare motor was running when I picked it up last year. It has been sitting inside since I got it, but I have done nothing to it. It has everything on it but a carb. I have no idea what condition the trans is in.

I'd sell the spare motor w/trans (no idea on the condition of the trans) for $500

Here are a couple of pics of the spare motor. Motor has 6X heads on it.

Everything is sitting at my shop, in Cypress.

Wish I had the money for it. I run a 455/TH400 in my 68.

How much rust on the body/frame/floors? More pics would definitely help.

No visible rust on the panels, other than some very minor surface rust. It was in primer when I got it, and I haven't checked for filler or anything. Floor panels are good. driver's front has been repaired, passenger rear is solid, but slightly dented.

I will try and run by the shop and get some pics tomorrow.

I would be interested in trades, but they would have to be even, or cash to me.

I believe they both came out of Bonnevilles. I don't think either is, but I don't know for sure on the one in the car.

If you look back by the dist, it is "stamped, raised numbers" what year it is. Most 70-72 455's came drilled for 4 bolt but only had 2 bolt caps. You would have to get a HO or RA to get 4 bolt caps.

I will take the 455/th400 off your hands. don't have the $ to buy them thou.

I know the spare is a '71 with 6x heads on it. I believe the motor in the car is also a '71, but I haven't looked. it has 4x heads on it.

I am open to cash offers, trades, anything.

Could you post some pics of the interior condition?

Wouldn't really be interested in the motor/tranny that is in it. Would you be willing to sell the roller without them, and for how much?

I will post some interior pics tomorrow afternoon, when I can get by the shop.

I would sell just the roller. Shoot me a pm with what price you are thinking on just the roller.
