car is a 2002 ss 6 speed. looking for a good cam that has a good powerband, has a choppy idle, and pulls hard. must work well with milled 243s and perhaps a 100 shot down the road.

My 243s were milled to 60cc, and I had absolutely no ptv cleareance and I had to flycut .1 on the intake and exhaust with my cam (232/234 .595/.598). The OP never specified whether he wanted to flycut or not.

I'm running a VRX X5. I haven't installed my 243's yet but it made 410hp with stock 241's. I'm having my 243 ported as we speak so I will know in a few weeks what I I picked up with heads ported fast 90 and ported TB

My best 60ft was a 1.52 & pulled a 1.56 on the norm with a Yank PT4400 on with the MS3 & Elec Waterpump & all bolt ons.
I would go MS3 all day. I know plenty of guys on here who run 10s N/A with this cam & heads & intake & big converter

Yes, you are correct; largest you can get away with on an LS1, with LS1 heads (66.67cc). The OP has 243s, which stock are 64.45 cc, then he had them milled.
