Wtb ly6

I've called numerous salvage yards but can find what I'm looking for.
I'm looking for a low mileage LY6. A L92, L99, L76 would work too but seem to be more expensive. It doesn't matter if it's out if a truck, van or suburban. Would like it to be complete with less than 100,000 miles. I've got a 2009 Sierra that needs a motor and would like to step it's game up to a GEN IV 6.0 or 6.2.

LKQ had one for 1600$ and last time I looked it was gone and the prices went up to just over 2k.

I thought I had one bought when I was in Dallas for 2K, that was from a wrecked express 2500 van w/ 64k miles, off craigslist but the guy ended up selling it, before I could meet him.

Hell I'll I've had to resort to looking for wrecked chevy express 2500 2007+ vans now.. lol

Denton county auto salvage has 4. 2 are still in the trucks running 1750 each The one that just came in had 108,00

turned out to be a 2011 L96 with 58k. With tax $2,165. It's complete minus a/c and alternator.

Not bad, if pay 1500$ for a 100K plus mile engine pretty easily.

I thought the price was pretty fair. Plus it almost complete so ill have some swap meet stuff to sell off the old motor, and the lh6 short block.. Make a little $$$$ back that way.

Why not go with a 370ci shortblock from thompson? just a curiosity for that price.

Honestly I didn't know about Thompson.. I actually found a ly6 complete for cheaper but I tried to set up arrangements to pick up it was sold before I got there.. I found this one and jumped on it. It was already over my budget and it put me in a tight but I splurged and got it....

The L96 is in the truck now and running.. now just trying to get the Texas speed Y-pipe modified to work.
