I know moultrie makes the camera but forgot what model it is. I will look when I get up to the lease and check it out. It also has video record but I have not used that yet.

I'm going with my buddy to his place but I doubt I'll shoot any deer. Wouldn't really feel right shooting deer on a place I didn't help with or put any money into. Really just going to hang out and maybe shoot some varmints.

???????????????WHAT????????????

Are you kidding me!!! An invite is an invite! Better yet, an invite is an invite to kill!! I dont know, maybe theres more to this story, but I would definately take advantage of the situation you got there. There are people that live their whole lives without killing a single deer. And these are people that try and hunt.

...Think about it.

I'm with skinny on this one. To me an invite is not an invite to kill, and certainly not an invite to take any good buck you see or fill multiple tags.

I used to go to a college buddy's place near Junction (actually his parents' place at the time). I didn't take down anything until I had been there three times and had put a little work into the place...even then, all I took was a cull buck and a doe he specifically wanted killed. Now when I got, I will take usually 1 buck and a doe a year....again depending on his needs.

Every case is different and everybody has different kinds of relationships. But, my default stance would be to go ready to hunt and then let him mention to you if/what he wants you to shoot.

I haven't been hunting in a few years now. Seeing these pics makes me want to go back. I have a very close friend of mine that owns about 15 acres right in the middle of the Kenedy Ranch. I've gotten some pretty nice deer and nilgai off that property. I bagged an 8 point one year that grossed 144 and netted 140! I won the Texas Trophy Hunters Big 8 that year.

Eh, hunting is hunting for me. If I invite someone is because I dont mind them killing anything thats there. Same thing that goes with a friend that invites me, its because he dont mind me killing anything thats there. Otherwise, why go? But your right, everybodies relationship is different. My guess is if you dont have a place to go hunt at, you'll go and work on the land with them or whatnot. I count my blessings that my boys dont ask me to work for them. I guess its maybe cuz I dont ask them to work for me.

...anyways, Happy Hunting to all, and aim straight!

Well just came back from my trip. Shot a doe opening evening. Saw some nice bucks but nothing to what I took last year so I am going to wait for another one to come out like that one.

Oh man, leaving after work Thursday night. Heading down near Junction (Right where 290 & I10 meet past San Antonio). There was a real good 8 point shot this past weekend there, so I am hoping for more.

I am coming in late tomorrow as a big boy has come in our area around my house from the river. He is monsterous.....came to my feeder in the back at 330pm Sunday afternoon. He is a 10 or 11 with a minimum 21" spread and a bit taller than average tines...just very wide and great mass. I am guessing in the 140-150 class. He comes out and i might be cleaning a deer tomorrow morning.
