I got pulled over again! Once again for no front plate. This twice in 4 months. I'm ready to throw in the towel and buy a plate holder. Where can I find the replacement insert that will take away my beautiful ss logo?
Buy an aluminum universal one that mounts to the bottom of the bumper, so no holes are drilled or anything, it just wraps around up front and doesn't touch anything but the underside of the bumper, and mount it towards the right of the car/offcenter...

cops The stupidest thing I've gotten pulled over for so far happened a couple of months ago. I was leaving my friend's house on a Friday night at around 2 A.M., and as I turned right off his street, onto another street in his neighborhood, a cop pulled me over for not using my blinker to turn right. I wanted to be like, "Dude... It's 2 in the morning on a Friday night. Don't you have better things to do, like find drunk drivers?" It just pissed me off he was such an ***, that he would pull me over for something so minuscule.

what i would like to know whats the reason for the front plate? is it a safety issue? because if its a matter of safety why is it that some of these old rusted trucks are not gettin pulled over? and ive seen several of these trucks wit spot welded supports and ladders piled high with rope holding them down. the cop told me to go to autozone and buy a plate holder there... ive never seen a plate holder there that fits to the front of my car. i even told him i had ordered a plate holder and he asked me if i had the purchase order!!! he was a jerk! ive had numerous cops check my ride out, while on duty, and never give me a ticket for that. i was a block away from work too when this happend
Afterthoughts Auto sells the SLP mount kit that goes under the front of the nose and doesn't obstruct the front as much. I've got one on my car. It does require the drilling of two small holes, but it works, and keeps you from getting hassled.

That sucks man. that **** happen to me on my TA..luckily i had the plates behind the cover. he made me remove the cover to expose plates. Now i have a clear cover that matches the original with the bird popped out like the original. that has saved me...you might want to look for one. I wish i knew where they sell them if they still do. bought mine in FW back in the day when the first FBody show in Hulen at the hooters at a booth. Good luck man.
i just went to court 2 days ago for this same reason. i took a picture of my plates on the car, printed them out and took them with me to court and the ticket was dropped. then i went home and took the plates back off and threw it back on my dash.
