Sheeeeooitt Mellow is getting better. I cant even deny that one bit. His first couple passes had some issues, but then he was good to go. He had one very solid pass that
was almost perfect.

I was happy to see so many people helping and assisting. It was a blast and a fun night overall.

Thumbs up to John as well, he didnt take **** from that SS.

Aaron almost had a good race lined up. With a horrible shelby cobra that was running like
crap. I think Aaron would have smoked that " Race car "

I had fun, im glad I came out to see everybody. Mellow I have to give you props man, your getting better.

Volcanic2345 had some good runs as well, and there was a 7.2-7.3 eclipse out there handing to the domestic guys for a while. Well that is until the coupe of death come rolling in and made him look sorry.

Who's in the 64/65 truck in the last video? Cool seeing some nostalgic iron take a trip down the strip...in stock (external anyways) form.

Cool, that is a understatement. That guy pulled the wheels up a couple times. Not to mention he smokes a cigerette during the redneck run! Ask Mike about it lol.

Mellow, can I have your permission to post one of the good vids on myspace.
Ill just put down that your a friend to the club. And I will use the vid where you hooked real well.

Or if you like I can use the walk around one?

I have to admit, john was running on pure despiration. Because he knew if he lost to that SS, he would never hear the end haha. But if john gets that truck running, he will take the wow title from Andrew.

Thats my bet.

wow, almost 10k in views!

Foot brake on the bottle..... Trans brake on the motor!

That is what a transbrake was made for!

Dont use the brake on the bottle... it hits the tires like a 6 speed!

It has run the fastest off the T-brake.. I'm going to put some 10's and slicks on it next...

Zach you put whatever you want.. I'm not really getting any better I have it down 100% .. Yesterday was the 1st time I have had any problems with the car hooking up , I guess I'm pass using drag radials..

My bad Mellow, I thought you were still practicing. I didnt know you were good to go already Last I had heard you were still learning.

Well dang... I thought there would be someone left that still needed to learn... I guess I walk a lonely road.

Ill use the good pass on myspace, appreciate the consent. Great car by the way.

You got it down 100%? ****! I've been at the track racing for 5 years and I still don't have it down 100%. When weather changes track temps etc. it all makes a huge difference in how the car hooks and since that isn't my car and I don't know anything about the suspension setup on it. It's hard to make adjustments to get those tires to stick hard. A drag radial car seems to be a lot harder to set up then a slick car.

Yeah, but in the tires area they swear by DR's. I am just now trying to learn about the advantages of running DR's in comparison to Slicks. I mean they have guys cutting 1.2's and 1.3's on DR's.

I guess the slicks are more reliable to use? I would like to decide early on to use either or for the LSM car.

I see that we have 67 members on LS1tech. Some are still getting registered accounts or I dont have their name on tech yet. But overall we are looking strong on tech. Dfwstangs is another big source for us. But tech has given us a solid foundation.

I just found out Capn Smokey's account got banned. I spoke with him and I guess its still under investigation But anyways I hope that gets worked out and we get him back on here soon.

Drag radials need 16psi plus... no lower from what Madman and the shop says.

they are finicky more than slicks... the side wall is solid and doesn't wrinkle. Much less forgiving and create wheel hop or chatter. Also they dont need a long burnout and getting them too hot is bad. The shop said the ideal temp for track surface to tire surface variation shouldnt be more than 10 degrees.

Alot can be said for learning this stuff. Also, to know if you need more clicks on the shock etc takes experience. Knowing how to launch and stage etc is something Mellow probably has down pat by now.... but knowing how the car reacts is an entirely different lesson.
