Default Looking for mechanic in East Texas!

I need a mechanic to diagnose a problem I have had since I bought my 2000 TA. Does anyone know a good mechanic that knows a lot about F body's that could help me out.

The problem is almost every time I get on it get to about 5k the car sputters and backfires and some times shuts off. It seems like the spark has been shut off. Its not the rev limiter because it does not bounce back it just sputters till it turns off. I took it to this guy that has HP tuners and he could not tell what was wrong. So I need some help.

The car was purchased with 43k miles and it did it then. Since then I have changed spark plugs, wires, checked the injectors, coil packs, fuel filter, 02 sensors and wires to the crank position sensor. The maintenance items i have changed several times since I have had the car. One thing I need to do is change the crank position sensor and do a relearn correctly. I have changed it once but the car ran like crap after warm up so I put the old one back. I bought with 43k miles, now it has 176k miles. It works fine until I rev it up beyond 5k.

Thanks

Im curious to see what the fuel pressure is at the RPM its cutting out at. It would be in your best interest to get it on the dyno there in Longview with their wideband hooked up to it and log a couple runs with HPTuners and figure out you problem there.

Tell him to quit being lazy and put a damn fuel pressure gauge on it. Sounds like a fueling problem.
