Default Hk45

Anyone have one? If so, what do you think about it?

Last year a bought a Glock 9mm for my wife. Now it’s time to get something for me.

I’m also open to other .45’s under a grand.

I love my Kimber's. Between my father and I we have 3 1911 style.

My Newest : http://www.kimberamerica.com/pistols...pro_covert_II/
My Target Pistol: http://www.kimberamerica.com/pistols...pse_target_II/
My Fathers: http://www.kimberamerica.com/pistols/cdp/pro_cdp_II/

All three have stickers that they have had stuff done by the Kimber Custom Shop also, usually just night sights and that's about it.

You can pick them up at gun shows for less than a $1000 depending on the model.

Have you shot an HK and like the Kimber better?

I'll have to take a look at those.

By buddy has a springfield and it's nice, just not the same as the HK and similar.

HK's are one of the nicest guns out there IMO, your best bet is to just go shoot different ones and see what you like.

I've shot the XD and HK - Just looking for any new info/ideas.

I really like both - But the HK so far I like a little better for a few reasons. Both are sweet though.

I have a P30 because when i picked it up i could not put it down. I thought they were suppose to come out with the .45 that has the same grip configuration as my P30. That would be awesome

good deal i am a firm believer that if you are going to buy a pistol the gun show is the place to do it. there are always at least 2-3 big guys there that can beat any local shops price. Bachman is the one i like and deal with.

Edit: and you should sell me your truck..

I have a HK .45 and I love it . I have owned it for about 10 years now. And I have had zero issues with it.

i own a couple XD's that i really like including a 4" .45, but if you dont mind the higher price i would take the H&K over an XD anyday, they are much nicer guns (not that the XD isnt a good gun). there will definitely be an H&K USP45 in my near future after i get a couple other guns to fill some voids

I carry this

Im not sure if its the HK .45 yout talking about, but i hate it.

The de-cocker, is very hard to use, and probably im possible if your working it one handed.
The mag release is on the trigger gaurd, and it can only be placed on safe with the hammer back

It does have a nice single action trigger pull, and the trigger gaurd is HUGE so its easy to get your finger in there with gloves on

This is a special operations command .45, so it maybe a little different than what your looking at.

Yes thats different than the HK45. The one he is talking about is the newer one that came out recently. People also get confused with the HK USP .45 sometimes, which is the older one.

HK45

USP 45
http://www.hk-usa.com/usp_general.html

edit- it looks like the Mark23 you have came before the USP, and is a nice gun to own!

my .45 is a Kimber Stainless II....it's absolutely fantastic in every way. I paid 750 for it at the George brown gun show.(way below sticker price). Super light trigger pull, easy to disassemble, flawless operation.

however if i could change 1 thing, i wish it held more bullets.....which is where the HK/XD/Glock/M&P come into play...stay away from S&W sigma line!

Good luck at the gun show. I went there yesterday afternoon. It was wall to wall people. Bachman had some great deals. I bought my xd9mm there earlier this year. Yesterday at 330 they were not selling any more pistols. They have at least 40-50 lined up with cases and licenses on top waiting for paperwork. All the ammo places were sold out of ammo. It was mass khaos.

it was the new HK 45 that I got. Now it's time to find a light and laser for it.
