I'm through trying to predict what the BCS will do. Whatever happens happens. However, UT fans still need OU to beat OSU next week, no matter what.

And we still need to beat those pesky Aggies. I know everyone says, "There's no way UT loses to A&M this year", but we said that last year.

And the year before.

Well, they did until OU ripped them a new one. Paybacks are a MF.

Two teams from the same conference CANNOT play each in the nation title game.

It was a terrible showing by Tech. We didn't show up on either side of the ball. OU played well, but not like an NFL team or anything. Tech just played like a high school team. UT should still be ahead in the BCS, IMO.

We better play better next week against Baylor, or we'll be in another world of depressing hurt.

Good luck Oklahoma State!!! You're our last hope for a BCS game!

Stranger things have happened. I'm gonna sit back and watch how all of this unfolds. OU isn't a lock for anything yet. Still a lot to be decided on the field. I'm going to the Texas/a&m game.

I'm going to be kicking my own *** for not making it up to Norman to watch that game. All my friends said the stadium was rocking so ******* hard...many haven't heard it that loud before.

Of course they can. All that has to happen is that one is ranked #1 and the other #2 in the BCS. Like I said BEFORE, its not likely, but possible. If you had watched the entire game (I imagine most tech fans TV's were already turned off, LOL) you would have seen Brent Musberger talking about that very topic. There is no rule saying that 2 teams from the same conference can't play each other in the title game. It almost happened a couple of years ago w/ tOSU and Michigan.

Well, unfortunately for the people who think that, it ain't happening. The AP and Coaches poll that came out today already have OU ahead of Texas,Granted, the AP is no longer used in the BCS formula, but I imagine the Harris polls, computers polls will look something similar.

The 65 sports writers and 61 head coaches have spoken....

OU fans have been trying to tell you guys this all along....

And don't blame us, blame the big 12 rules committee, and the BCS committee, and all the human poll voters.

UT should be two in the BCS today and tied for one on the computers. That OU win made Texas look stronger also.

Texas WILL be ahead of OU in this weeks BCS standings. Assuming both teams take care of business in their final game it willb e tight next week. Most of the so called "experts" give the nod to UT for beating OU on a neutral fields, and remember 2/3 of the BCS is human polling.

as long as we get a BCS bowl bid, that is all that matters.

AND bottom line, the Big XII south is legit as hell this season, and we can allllll agree on that!

Thats not fair to say.....We got straight dominated...we were completely out powered on both the O-line and D-line...the OU secondary gave some damn good coverage too...They were the better team period.

I honestly thought it was going to be a shootout until the very end. From my perspective, I think TTU is still a great team and I have ALOT of respect for Leach. They just were unfortunate that the game was played in Norman and OU came out and punched TTU in the mouth and never gave them a chance to get up off the ground. Congrats to TTU for their outstanding season though.

true that...too bad we can't have two of the south teams play for the big12 title with the winner going on to play for the NC.

Cant believe what I watched. Venerables must have gave the defense a major kick in the *** for them to play like they did. Tech is a hell of a ball club but they didnt come prepared at all, I really thought they would put the whopin on the Sooners.
I read this AM that if Florida and Bama both loose one game that a Longhorn/Sooner National Champion game is very probable. I sure would like another crack at them shorthorns!
One thing is for sure, no matter who plays from the Big XII they will destroy any other team in the country. Oklahoma, Texas, Tech, OK State, Mizzouri, its a power house conference that nobody wants a part of. Even the Heisman has 4 players for the Big XII south in the running. Great year for all of us in the Nations meanest conference!
We got a tough game next week in Stillwater, hope we bring the defense with us!
BOOMER!!

Not true, Florida would give either OU or UT all they could handle and would probably be a small favorite against either team.

Florida is the best team in the country right now followed by I hate to say it(OU)but they have been winning big lately. If things hold up OU will jump UT by the end of next week and will be playing for the NC against Florida.
We will see OU & Florida both jumped Texas in the AP top 25. the BCS Rankings arn't out yet but Texas .8900, Florida .8800 and OU .8400 we will wait and see.

OU will NOT be ahead of Texas in the next BCS poll. No way. If OU beats OSU next it might be a different story, or it might not. A lot is still to be decided, and OU winning over OSU isn't a for sure deal. UT should be #2 in the BCS this week.

Both UT and OU had their chances to be undefeated and eliminate all argument, but both came up short.
