740, didn't see your post until now. It's 6:07 and I haven't seen the BCS rankings, but I guarantee you that OU won't be ranked above Texas tonite in the BCS rankings. I'll take your wager on the avatar thing.

Its too late. I also posted that you needed to respond by 6:00pm. And then I deleted my post. I waited 30 minutes and you didn't respond. Therefore, no bet. But I will bet you that if we beat OSU, we WILL move ahead of Texas.

I just saw the ranking in msn dot com. I don't know how accurate it is but Texas is still number 4 and OU jumped to number 3 while Florida is now number 2.
OU barely squeezed by TEXAS by looking at the votes.

I believe thats the AP poll. BCS is what counts. Provide a link if you can...

Just checked on ESPN's website and the BCS rankings are still not posted. I will post them when they come out.

Going to be tight as **** next week, I think the voters will get it right and vote TEXAS since they beat OU on a neutral field.

740, you'd be "worried" about them this week if OU was in front of Texas, lol. Good thing you didn't take that bet, huh? However, you're right, the only thing that really matters is the last BCS ranking that matches up the top two teams in the championship game. Don't get the cart ahead of the horse yet. It ain't over! Texas and OU are both very deserving of playing for it all if they win out. IMO Texas is the more deserving. They played a tougher schedule and beat OU head to head when it counted and lost only one game on the last play.
We can argue about this as fans and some of are obviously biased. Our opinions have no bearing on the games or BCS rankings. I'll just let the chips fall where they may and live with it. Bottom line is, as long as they're basically an opinion poll and no playoff there is going to be disagreement among CFB fans. We need a playoff to settle this on the field and not human opinions or a computer crunching numbers!!!

Oh yes, we were dominated...but UT played stronger in our game with them than OU did last night. We played THAT bad. Yes, they looked good, but not like national champions.

Well, ut is number #2, and probably will be #3 next week if OU beats OSU. Even tho UT will probably beat the Ags, if won't carry the weight in the BCS that beating the #12 will. OU goes to the big 12 championship. Ut to the fiesta bowl.

That sounds like an excuse as to why we lost......there was nothign we could have done to win the game, i HATE excuses just as much as i hate OU....their coverage was outstanding, where u want harrel to throw the ball? Thier D-line outpowerd our O-line gettin in harrels face....I saw a team play the best they could and OU last night to me (a tech fan, a tech student) looked like the best they have all season....To say we played bad isnt very accurate, to me it looked liek we played our *** off it just wasnt good enough. We got dominated in every sense of the word.

A lot of people with no bias towards Texas feels that way as well. Like I said previously, we can debate this forever, but it will play itself out in the coming weeks. A lot can still happen. Assuming OU beats OSU (that won't be an easy game for the Sooners), I think it's 50-50 as to whether OU jumps Texas in the BCS standings. The coaches who vote in the ESPN/coaches poll have a lot of respect for Texas and what they've done this year, plus the fact that UT beat OU soundly on the field when they played head to head.
