hear this rumor every year. its not going to happen. no front plate would make it hard for those cameras to catch people running a red light right$? Plus it gives cops and excuse to pull you over if you dont have it up. There are two big reason$ why it wont pass.

I have been ok with no front plate for a few years, no one really bugs me about it.
That's good for them, a few states have already done it, it's just really dumb to test OBDI cars. The way expemption usally works is, if the car passed the year before, it no longer has to pass in the future. So if 13+ year old car can still pass, chances are the owner takes care of their vehicle and will continue to do so. If it doesn't, chances are they can't afford to fix it or they wouldn't have some thing that old in the first place. PA does 15 year exemptions, Texas needs to get on the ball.

i remember when they first started doing the dyno test for OBDI cars, and how many small garages had to get out of doing inspections because they either coudlnt afford the equipment, or coudlnt afford to lose an entire bay for the emissions testing.
