EGR and AIR really an issue for inspection???

Default EGR and AIR really an issue for inspection???

I have to go in for my first state inspection since I've had the car and I'm just wondering how thorough the inspectors usually are. I'll be getting it done in Bell County if that makes any difference. Thanks.

most won't even notice it... i wouldn't worry about it... i'm not sure where bell county is but by the name of it it sounds like a non-emission county so it won't matter anyway

Do you have emissions tuned out? My car passed fine with no AIR / EGR or cats. It was an actual inspection as well, not a $100 sticker deal.

You should be okay as long as you don't show more than one "not ready" on the system readiness tests. Technically you shouldn't pass visual, but I haven't seen an inspector who actually looked for EGR/AIR.

Yeah, I had everything turned off when I got it tuned so there's no CEL. I guess I'll be alright then since I've got cats on it now.

I bought the wrong Pacesetter headers, so I have blockoff plates made out of folded gold tin can tops (looks ridiculously ghetto lol), and my catless TD exhaust is dumped before the axle. No codes, I passed fine. This was at a pretty busy Jiffy Lube right by my house too.

bell county is safety only... i lived in ft hood (killeen) for a while
