I was there and competed. I was #2 qualifier in the 10.50-10.99 class. Was disappointed we were lied to at the Sat. morning drivers meeting and were promised a 32-car finalist field of the best racers. That never happened - they only picked 16 11.00 class cars. After they announced that, most people left the grandstands in bewilderment. On my 2 qualifying runs I ran a 10.50 and 10.55. The car ran perfect and overall I had a good time with some great friends!

^ your name wouldn't happen to be Michelle would it? If so I saw your TA run sat and was very impressed. I was up in the coca cola suite all day. Third floor on the fas side of the track with all the drunk idiots on the balcony!

we were there with some cars. All being more than a sec faster then the field they called. I entered the wheel stand contest but I turned the second kit on to fast and ended up picking the back tires up off the ground. Buddy of mine made it to the finals in the quick 8 but got loose at the 1/8th and got into the wall a little. Had a good time, one of these times I will be picked.

We took my car and ran it all motor since I don't have a roll bar. I went down there not even thinking about making the All Out 16, just went for the experience and having a good time. We got to the track before the sun came up and stayed late both days and had a blast! Got to see some very nice LSX cars and F bodies and met some nice people.

Since my three runs were within 0.06" (9.42, 9.43, spun on the bars to a 9.48 all at around 143ish), I was excited, then, bummed. However, it's his show, but, I don't see how the fans, there or on TV, would rather see slower cars. Not bashing it, but, I would have taken my low 11-second GTO instead if I knew that was "what the fans wanted". Take care. Dave
