Slightly off topic but I heard that you can use 7 letters/numbers this year on personal plates. Any truth in this?

Supposedly sometime in June. They had the signs in the windows when I picked up my plates a couple months ago.

+1 ..I just got my personalized plates yesterday. When I registered for my new plates, I saw their screen had a text field for a 7 digit plate. I told the lady that I just wanted 2 digits on my personalized plate. She looked at me like, "Uhhh, you only want M and F"?

Also, just reiterating what has already been said.. Here is what is listed on my envelope that my personalized plates came in:

1. Your specialty license plates CANNOT be transferred to another owner.

2. If you sell your motor vehicle, please REMOVE your specialty license plates and CONTACT your County Tax Assessor-Collector in order to transfer them to another vehicle.
