Unless you have a 69 model, I wouldn't hold your breath on that 1.

Have you looked at what any clean 2nd gen T/A goes for nowadays? Oh and if it's a Ram Air, Super Duty, or WS6 car you better be banking. And look at the early Fox Body Mustangs. Ten years ago they were under 2 grand, now that buys junk. Clean ones are twice that and up and hard to find. The most popular cars in a time frame seem to go up when the supply runs low, the newer ones suck or aren't availible anymore, and the people who used to drool over them in high school but had to drive a junker make thier fortune and decide it's time to relive thier youth.

The value of a good and desireable example could easily start to rise in the future. But you'll have to put it in storage now, lol.

i agree with this, fox's aren't cheap nowadays, and the 4th gens (especially the LS1 cars) are definitely going to be one of the more popular bodystyles later down the road. it's just going to take a few years for them to go up in value, so as posted earlier, don't hold your breath because it'll be a while

it will take like 15-20 years just like it did for the 69 camaro. when my brother was 16, 12 years ago he bought a fully restored 69 for 4k. a fully restored 69 is worth more like 20k+ now adays. just look at it that way.

Lets look at Oldsmobile..... they were shut down, and their late model cars are worth dick now.... so maybe in 20 years that G8 or 02 TA may be worth something.... but for now, you are out of luck

For a clean fox back in the days it is highly doubtfull to find one for 2k. Maybe if you got a 4 cylinder notch. They never dipped lower than 5k for an avg one.

They will be worth what someone is willing to pay. As always low milage unmollested cars will be worth more. 10 years form now a high percentage of the f-body's will have the ac pulled, no power steering, camming beasts. Exactly what happened to the fox's.

Everyone is still going to refer to NADA or KBB.

Funny thing is that the WS6 outsold the standard Trans Am, if I can remember the last numbers I saw. Car's that will have value soon or already do are all the anniversary editions, pace cars, and the formula's.

Almost forgot the Firehawks. Personaly I prefer the camaro, see alot more WS6's than I do SS's. Then again that's just personal preference.

If you follow the auto auctions( antique/classic) over the years. You will start to see a pattern. I started going to auctions with my dad when I was 5yrs old. A lot of the people that had 60's and 70's muscle cars are now old enough and have enough money to buy the car they either had or wanted when they were younger. The fox body stang is going to bring big dollars for a clean one in the next 6-7 yrs . Think about all the kids that had one and will want one again. I remember Westheimer use to be packed with the fox mustangs with ROH or DP wheels. From what I have seen cars 20 +yrs of age bring big bucks. Once the generation of that era dies off the cars seem to drop in value. So in 2042 I'm sure a WS6 will be worth some coin.

FACT: Pontiac is not going away, it will be a limited production car company which will only have like 1 or 2 cars maybe. All of the current models will be gone.

Trans Am? Doubtful. Firehawks? Maybe. There were so many produced in the 4th gens, there won't be a shortage of them anytime soon. Same with Corvettes if Chevy dropped them. It will ake a long while for those to increase in value, and even then only the ZR1 and the special edition Z06s would be among the desireable cars. Unless there's a new wave of 427 nostalgia down the road...

The birds in 20 years if kept in pristine, low mileage condition might have some slight increase in value over where they are today, but high mileage, heavily modified and raced, multi-owner cars won't get squat even in 20 years.

Fact? You may want to double check your source. There was a press conference this morning. Pontiac is done in 2010.

It is all over the news.
