So if an engine is mounted around the area of directly below the winshield wouldn't it be a mid-engine car? The windshield is not the front of the car, we know this. We tell ourselves otherwise to get it off the front of the car.

I haven't had a front plate on my car since I bought it 3 years ago. I got pulled over once when driving from Dallas to see my folks in Victoria. I was in the middle of nowhere and got a warning. In Dallas, half the cars I see don't have them so I feel safe. The car isn't nice though (econobox) so it doesn't draw much attention. Most of the guys here have cars with loud exhaust ect. Cops seem to want to pull these cars over anyway and plates are an easy excuse for them to do so. I'd be on the fence about it with a F-body as it does look better without. (Chevelle looks fine with as the bumper has a spot for one) Just know, if you are doing things you shouldn't, you're basically giving them a reason to stop you... at 3:00am.
