I made it work, but was told to go home after a few hours as they closed the campus down due to water damage. This morning Eldridge and Memorial were impassible; looked like a lake. Lots of stalled cars.

They've been saying all day that the worst of the rain passed. But we all know how reliable the news can be.

Thats what I heard also. Its supposed tobe like 20-30% chance of rain until like the weekend and then 40-50% more either Saturday or Sunday. Craziness. Now the weather people cant say anything about TX being in a drought at all..lol

buddy of mine told me a story....he was on one of the freeways, I forget which one and he said traffic was stand still, turned out there was like 1 mile of water and ppl were turning around on the freeway, he came up to it and was behind a 2500 dodge, the dodge started into the water till it was up to the middle of his tailgate and then abruptly stopped....my friend thought he was stopping to come out but he had actually rear ended a car that was under water, the waves he made exposed like 10 other cars that were completely under water....crazy ****.
