Went last night. Was standing on the starting line for that 200mph pro mod pass. Awesome. It'll be boring watching them from the stands after that. The track is gonna be great, but definately needs some time to iron everything out. Made one pass, and that shutdown is scarry. Not smooth concrete. Polished concrete. I'm glad they are gonna fix that.

two months ago i broke my DS at the transmission yoke. i have a bad feeling that it happened again... a track staff member kicked a part out from under my car and it looked like the yoke, not a u-joint. its a PST 1200HP rated driveshaft, and i only put down like 350ish. i triple checked my pinion angle... and the only thing i've changed before i broke the first one was a poly tranny mount. dont see how that could affect this. if anything, i'd think it would make it LESS likely to break, not more.
and to top it all off, the tow truck driver and his wife try to extort me!!! when they dropped me off at my house, she asked me for a tip. when i politely declined, they said that they might have to call AAA and report me, because they dont cover 'race cars'. i said "thats fine, because i dont have a race car, i have a street car with plates and inspection sticker.... you just happened to pick me up in the PARKING LOT of a race track. the reason i needed a tow is none of your concern or business." after she asked me like 3 times and tried to extort me, they eventually gave up and left. this all transpired behind my house at 2:15am... it could have gotten ugly if they refused to leave my property.
